    Shameless promotion of Subway

As I start typing this entry, I am not really sure where this is going to end up or why even I m blogging this topic, but there have been a couple of interesting Subway run ins lately and surprise surprise, none of these have had anything to do with cycling.

I was watching tele last night and they was bugger all on, so we ended up watching some show about drunk guys getting up to no good and the cops cracking down on them, I think it was British which should be no surprise. Anway there was an fight at a Subway restaurant where 2 lads were kicking it off with the staff and fighting with the other customers. When the dust had settled and everyone had calmed down the guys ended up explaining that it started because the restaurant had stored the salami in with the salads. No most people know about food safety but to get in a scrap over it was priceless.

Interesting subway interaction number 2. It was lunchtime today and felt like a sub so went online to place my order, placing it online saved me 20minutes in the queue. Anyway on the site you could navigate to any of the international subway sites...here are some store observations.
    • New Zealand has 203 Subway restaurants
    • Iraq has 20
    • Zambia has 4 stores
    • There are 4 in Afghanistan, I'm guess there might have been 20 like in Iraq before bombs started dropping
    • Lebanon has 2, no interesting Lebanese fact except that Hazim El Mazri is from Lebanon and he has scored more points than anyone else in the NRL.
    • there are 2 in Aruba...........where on earth is that???? Google says its a small island of the coast of Venezuela

Anyway there is a bit of useless subway info....hopefully that might be enough of a plug to get a ride next year.

Oh and I might have spent the time saved by ordering online by surfing the web
